I'm not a cheapest price buyer, but honestly I'd never seriously considered one before because $1500+ was more than I could justify for a handgun. Finding it on sale was unexpected and it flipped a switch.The trigger offers no surprises, adjustable from 2.2 - 4.4 lbs, it'll cover most tastes and in line with all Sauer's, it is excellent, clean and crisp. The safety is also excellent and intuitive, it pushes all the way forward to fire, the middle setting is safe with bolt operation and the rear setting is safe with the bolt locked.Feb 02, 2014 · Afternoon all. The Sauer 100 's ejector/­extractor geometry is also better designed than most of its competitors. The 100 has dual ejectors that sit opposite a blade extractor. The extractor rides in the outboard lug that sits low in the ejection port during bolt travel. Sako. But I feel a Tikka vs Bergara is a better competition due to price point. Duh! Sako all the way! Overall fit and finish of the sako is much better. Not sure there is much of an aftermarket for Sako parts if you want to tinker. FWOW my Tikkas shot like lasers. The Sako requires somewhat less bolt lift due to its three locking lug design, 70 degrees opposed to 90 degrees for the Kimber. The Sako is smooth in operation, fast for follow-up shots and its generous loading/ejection port makes single loading easy. Sauer 404 by a close friend. There was not much info in the US, but as a friend at the Blaser Group told me, “It’s a turn bolt equivalent to the Blaser R8.” The Sauer is not a light rifle (think M70 SuperGrade).
